PLAYCARE NEWS – WINTER 2011

A big welcome back to everyone after the Christmas break. We hope you are all feeling refreshed!

The end of 2010 was full of exciting things at Playcare, Children in Need was a huge success, we raised just over £300, so a huge thank you to everyone who took part. Our Christmas parties were again lots of fun and Meadow group really enjoyed their outing to Vernon Court to sing songs to the residents and bring their mincemeat swirls!

Sara Lee, Nursery Manager has returned to Playcare after maternity leave. Sara joins us with her son Ned who has started in Poppy group. Sara is looking forward to connecting with all the parents and children over the next few weeks.

We also welcomed Lara Simmons to Poppy Group as Lead Practitioner. She has settled in very well and hope you agree is an asset to an already great team.

Gemma, Jade and Matt said goodbye and good luck to our ‘Funcare’s at Playcare’ who left us in December to start school full-time.

We have a packed year of Outings and visitors, for more information please see your child’s key person. Coffee Mornings will be in February, with a special morning for dads to get together over a coffee and some of Sarah’s great home bakes!

This year Playcare will be celebrating its 21st birthday. We will be having a special celebration later in the year so watch this space!
