Nutrition at Playcare

The health and well being of each child is paramount at Playcare, so healthy meals are prepared daily by Sarah our Cook in the nursery kitchen, using high quality produce. Playcare provides all meals, including Breakfast and snacks. We aim to introduce children to a variety of tastes and textures so that they are confident eaters and willing to try new foods.

Organic dairy produce is used where possible, and the Playcare Fruit Bowl is offered daily to complement a menu featuring plenty of fruit and vegetables. Playcare does not use salt in any cooking, and sugar content is monitored to provide a healthy balanced diet for your child.

As all meals are freshly prepared at Playcare, individual needs can easily be catered for.

Nursery Fees at Playcare

Fees are payable on the first of every month by standing order, due to our commitments to other children, if you need your child to stay a little longer of any day, a rate of £4.50 will be charged per hour.

We do require a deposit, equivalent to four weeks’ fees on completion of the settling-in stage and prior to nursery commencing. All deposits will be refunded when your child no longer attends Playcare.

Early Years Free Entitlement EYFE or free sessions are available for children on the term after their third birthday. Each child is entitled to 2.5 hours per day for 5 days per week, to a maximum of 190 hours annually.

There are 2 free sessions in ‘day’ and ‘half day’ sessions with lunch, 1 free session in others. Fees will be adjusted based on weekly attendance, and deducted from your monthly fees. A financial summary will be issued at the start of each funding period or term, showing the value of EYFE

Fees are inclusive of all meals.

Playcare parents enjoy policies such as complementary flexible settling plans, sibling discounts and fee parity across all ages.

Please also note there is a 5% discount for introducing a sibling to Playcare.
